About the role
As a Security Engineer, you'll protect our platform, data, and users by building and maintaining our security infrastructure. You'll identify vulnerabilities, implement defenses, and establish security best practices across the engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing
- Design and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
- Lead vulnerability management and remediation efforts
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security in the SDLC
- Manage compliance requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001)
- Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of security engineering or information security experience
- Deep knowledge of web application security (OWASP Top 10)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or TypeScript)
- Understanding of encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols
- Experience with security monitoring and incident response
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001)
Nice to have
- Security certifications (CISSP, OSCP, CEH)
- Experience with container and Kubernetes security
- Bug bounty or CTF experience
- Background in threat modeling and risk assessment
