About the role

As a Technical Lead, you'll guide the technical direction for a product team, balancing hands-on development with mentorship and architectural decision-making. You'll be the bridge between engineering execution and product strategy, ensuring your team ships high-quality software on time.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction and architecture for your product area
  • Lead a team of 4-8 engineers through planning and execution
  • Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards
  • Mentor and grow engineers across all levels
  • Collaborate with product and design on roadmap and priorities
  • Drive technical debt reduction and system improvements
  • Contribute to hands-on development for critical features
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Experience with system design and architectural decision-making
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow engineers
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of delivering complex projects on time

Nice to have

  • Experience leading distributed or remote teams
  • Background in SaaS or platform development
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and team facilitation
  • Public speaking or technical writing experience
