About the role
As a Technical Lead, you'll guide the technical direction for a product team, balancing hands-on development with mentorship and architectural decision-making. You'll be the bridge between engineering execution and product strategy, ensuring your team ships high-quality software on time.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and architecture for your product area
- Lead a team of 4-8 engineers through planning and execution
- Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards
- Mentor and grow engineers across all levels
- Collaborate with product and design on roadmap and priorities
- Drive technical debt reduction and system improvements
- Contribute to hands-on development for critical features
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience with system design and architectural decision-making
- Proven ability to mentor and grow engineers
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of delivering complex projects on time
Nice to have
- Experience leading distributed or remote teams
- Background in SaaS or platform development
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and team facilitation
- Public speaking or technical writing experience
