About the role
As Controller, you'll oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. You'll manage the close process, establish internal controls, and build the financial infrastructure needed to support rapid growth and future audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and establish internal accounting controls
- Prepare financial statements and support external audit processes
- Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes
- Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Build and lead the accounting team as the company scales
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA license required
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and SaaS revenue recognition
- Experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero)
- Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes
- Experience building and leading accounting teams
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to have
- Big Four public accounting background
- Experience in SaaS or technology companies
- SOX compliance experience
- Experience supporting fundraising and due diligence processes
